It began in preparing for the test five months ago. I worked my first GMAT practice test and earned a 640. At first, I was relieved by this test score. I expected that I would land near a 600. Clearly, I was extremely surprised by the unpredicted gmat score. I had heard plenty of stories of people being beat by the gmat. I strongly believed that I was up against a very difficult task prepping for the GMAT. Over the course of my test prep, I landed the following results.
Princeton review (720, 610).

PR felt like a mystery. Princeton’s prep test lacked 700 level verbal questions. I contend the verbal problems on Princeton’s sample gmat were present up until approximately the 85percentile; but, after this point, the questions were useless. PR’s gmat practice test didn’t have challenging quantitative questions. I contend that the quant questions on Princeton Review’s gmat prep test were included until approximately the 85percentile, but, after this, the practice questions felt unaccurate. The gmat practice test did not have any permutations question.

Kaplan Prep

660

540

570

Knewton appears to display have a bunch of errors. Specific vocabulary words were improperly utilized. a cr question tested a errors. I feel the math questions max at around the 80th percentileand so, obviously, I found the practice GMAT not that helpful. I believe Kaplan Prep’s questions did not properly predict the actual GMAT exam. In effect, I think Kaplan Prep is a pawn of its own advertising maneuver. Seeing as Kaplan offers an enormous point increase score guarantee, it is in the company’s self-interest to distort the practice GMAT in order to guarantee that I have some point increase and consequently Kaplan Prep seem effective. I should strongly exhort you stay away from businesses that provide a score guarantee.

Platinum

650

650

Seeing as I finished the gmat prep test, I believe that its accurate. I believe that the math part was a bit too tricky. I understood that Platinum Prep’s challenging GMAT questions were approximately the 115 percentile. The number properties questions were especially difficult. It was a helpful practice GMAT. I found the explanations to be extremely helpful. I contend that the answer explanations are really helpful.

manhattan gmat

710

680

660

manhattan gmat practice tests are helpful. In general, they appear to roughly mimic the real gmat with regard to scoring.

Veritas GMAT Prep

650

650

I consider Veritas GMAT’s sample gmat exceedingly tricky to get working. I needed to sign-up and disclose personal information. I had a difficult time discovering exactly how to get the example test to launch since it was not intuitive. But, the practice GMAT test was rather helpful. The scoring accuracy was somewhat wrong. I believe the fact that Veritas GMAT gives numerous prep tests helped (actually Veritas Prep is not straightforward in their advertising as the company outsourced the gmat practice tests). Having said that, I think that the gmat prep test closely resembled what I experienced on the actual thing. The mathematics part was a bit too basic and I didn’t feel that it entirely prepared me.

Knewton Prep (660/630/620)

I found Knewton Prep’s prep test is one of the best prep tests I have encountered. The prep test was easy to take and did not take too long to register—probably better than some companies. I did need to fork over private info. Upon completing the sample gmat, I believe that the quantitative part was simple. I didn’t believe it included the statistics and permutations problems. The verbal part appeared quite beneficial as there were few unreasonable problems. The prep test was correct in the questions I saw, however it was not thorough.
